Bangladesh will be the hub of blockchain in the world: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the initiative has been taken to include blockchain in the curriculum, citing modern technology as a vehicle for creating new technologies. He said that training is being imparted at Sheikh Russel Digital Lab and Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center across the country with emphasis on skills oriented without being certified. Advising the youth to focus on blockchain solutions, the state minister said that in future, blockchain startups would be given financial support, assistance, mentoring as well as co-spaces in high-tech parks. The Minister thinks that Bangladesh will be known as the hub of blockchain in the world only through the talented youth of the country. He also hinted that the solutions would soon be used in garment factories, capital markets, land record keeping and judicial work. Zunaid Ahmed Palak conveyed this information while participating in the closing and awarding ceremony of the three-day Bangladesh Blockchain Olympiad 2022 at the auditorium of Bangladesh Krishibid Institution in the capital on Wednesday evening. Noting that social media and communication platforms are being created by the government to enhance their capabilities in technology, he added that these will be used officially first. Then, it will be open for everyone. Shibli Rubayet-ul-Islam, Chairman, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission; MA Momen, Director, FBCCI; Prof. Dr. Md. Kaikobad, Honorary Professor, BRAC University and Russell T. Ahmed were present in the program while Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Executive Director, Bangladesh Computer council presided over the meet. Professor Alan Edelman of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States and Mr. Sam G. Samdani, a senior industry knowledge expert at McKinsey & Company spoke in the program being connected online. Habibullah N Karim, Founder and CEO of Techno Haven Company Limited and Coordinator of BCOLBD gave welcome speech on the occasion. Prizes were handed over to the winners at the ceremony. Mesbook has won the Jamilur Reza Chowdhury Champion Award in the third block chain Olympiad. Blue-Crystal and Team Spondon won silver and bronze medals. Lever Gold, Universal Machine Silver and UAP Blockchain Application Research won bronze medals in the professional category. Other winners in the Student category are Lauren Epson, Crypto Geek, Block Charge, Bitchainer, Break the Code, Yet Another, For To Zero and Blockbusters.
